    Why do we need air tightness testing? Many products require waterproof performance or protection against gas ingress and leakage, so air tightness testing is essential to guarantee product quality. The traditional simple testing method is to submerge products in water and observe air bubbles for waterproof inspection. This method has obvious drawbacks: numerous products cannot be exposed to water; even water-resistant products need drying after testing, which may cause secondary contamination. It is time-consuming, labor-intensive, unscientific, subjective and unsuitable for mass production inspection. At present, there are two widely adopted scientific air tightness testing solutions: direct pressure air tightness testing and differential pressure air tightness testing. These two methods share the same core principle — using air instead of water. The tester captures parameter changes to calculate specific leakage values, which are then used to judge product qualification for waterproof and air tightness inspection.

    This testing method causes no damage to workpieces and features simple operation. It has been widely adopted by most manufacturers and won unanimous recognition in the industry.
